How it works

The GlassDrive referral programme is straightforward:

  1. Sign in to your GlassDrive account and copy your unique referral link from the referral dashboard.
  2. Share the link with friends, family, or anyone you think might need temporary car cover.
  3. They buy a policy — your code is saved to their browser, so any policy they purchase counts.
  4. You earn cash — the reward lands in your GlassDrive balance the moment their payment clears. Withdraw to PayPal at any time.

The reward you earn scales with the size of the policy your friend buys. The exact tier ladder is shown on your referral dashboard, but it always sits between a minimum and a maximum per referred purchase — bigger policies pay bigger rewards.

How rewards are paid

Your referral balance is real money. When you've earned enough to clear the configured minimum withdrawal threshold, click Withdraw to PayPal on your referral dashboard, enter the email address linked to your PayPal account, and confirm the amount.

  • Withdrawals are reviewed and paid out by the GlassDrive team. You'll get an email confirmation when the funds arrive in your PayPal account.
  • Both the minimum withdrawal amount and the reward tier ladder are configurable — the live values are always shown on your dashboard.
  • There's no cap on the number of referrals you can make.

Attribution window

When someone uses your referral link or enters your code at checkout, your code is linked to their browser for the configured attribution window (shown on your dashboard). Every policy they purchase in that window earns you another reward — not just their first one.

If you'd rather your friend enter the code manually, they can paste it into the discount-code box at checkout. Same outcome.

Who can be referred?

Anyone who isn't you. GlassDrive won't pay out on a self-referral — you can't apply your own code to your own purchase. Beyond that, your friend can be a young driver, a senior, a learner, someone with a non-fault claim history, or a van driver. As long as we can write valid cover for them, the referral counts.

Eligibility rules

A few important rules:

  • Minimum cover duration. Rewards are only paid on policies that cover more than one day. Sub-day temporary cover (1-hour, 3-hour, 12-hour) doesn't trigger a payout — the threshold is configurable and shown on your dashboard.
  • Refund clawback. If a referred customer cancels and is refunded inside their cooling-off period, the matching reward is automatically reversed from your balance.
  • No stacking with the ONE4ONE first-hour offer. That code is already a £1 promotional price, so referrals layered on top would push past cost. Any other discount stacks normally.
  • No artificial referrals. We reserve the right to investigate and reverse referrals that appear to be artificially generated (e.g. self-referrals through alt accounts, bulk-creation patterns).

Timing

  • Rewards land in your balance the moment your friend's payment clears with the underwriter — typically within 60 seconds of their purchase.
  • You'll get an email confirmation for every successful referral that includes the reward amount and your updated balance.
  • PayPal withdrawals are processed in batches by the team and typically arrive in your PayPal account within 1–3 business days of approval.
